I know sometimes in our lives it can be difficult to feel those things. Instead, many of us feel so alone, so lost and disconnected from ourselves. I know because I've been there. You see in 2009, at just 24, I hit rock bottom. I found myself in a pretty dark place. It was a culmination of my mother's sudden and tragic death, the suppression of grief, the stress of being a criminal lawyer coupled with a surprise pregnancy! I had no money, no energy for change , living a life that didn't feel like my own. I didn't know who I was or what I was here for anymore...
Have you forgotten how to tune into your soul?
After years of soul searching, sleep walking through my life, and numbing my pain with wine I realised that I had disconnected so far away from my authentic self. In being who the world wanted me to be, a busy mother, worker and house wife I didn't have time to spend time with my soul, to listen to what she desired for my life.
So many of us have forgotten how to tune into our own inner radio. So disconnected from our intuition that we feel numb, not enough and grieving the loss of our former selves.
Some of us might be on the right station but it's being drowned out by the noise of social media telling us what to buy, what to look like and how to be and societal expectations. Which inevitably dulls our energy, dampens our radiance and kills our confidence.
